2008 World Series of Poker

The 39th annual World Series ran from May 30th through July 17th 2008, culminating in the $10 000 buy-in No Limit Texas Hold'em Main Event.

The 13-day Main Event kicked off on July 3rd, and  attracte several thousand participants including professional poker players, winners of sit-and-go satellite tournaments and online qualifiers like the 2003 WSOP Main Event champion, Chris Moneymaker.
