Hellmuth to play in Premier League III

Phil Hellmuth is set to join some of the hottest poker stars in the world for the third season of the UK's Premier League III.

The poker brat will join the likes of Tony 'the windbag' G, Tom 'Durrr' Dwan, Vicky Coren, Peter Easgate and Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott in the invitation-only series broadcast by Matchroom Sport.

"We wanted to deliver a dream dozen for the fans and this is without a doubt the most exciting line up in poker history,” Matchroom Sport director of online gaming, Eddie Hearn, said.

“The Premier League is an arena where greatness is on display and genius happens - 12 of the game's biggest ever talents will face off for over a million dollars in what will be the greatest poker spectacle of all time."

Hellmuth is excited about taking on Peter Eastgate in the million dollar event, saying: "Only a few weeks back, Peter Eastgate broke my record as 'youngest world champion of poker in history' at the tender age of 22-years-old."

“Talk about being on form, this kid won over $9 million at the WSOP Main Event! I'm looking forward to watching the way this young gun plays his hands in the Premier League."
