Poker Brat to host charity tournament

Phil Hellmuth will be shelving his poker brat persona for two days this weekend when he hosts the Heroes Charity Tournament at Fort McDowell Casino in Arizona.

Hellmuth's co-host will be platinum selling country music artist, Mark Willis. The two stars will oversee an event that is predicted to pull in some big-name poker players as well as a number of celebrities.

“We are thrilled that Phil Hellmuth is joining us again as a host for our poker tournament this year," Kathy Hanrahan, chief executive officer of TASER Foundation, was quoted as saying by Poker Listings.

"Phil Hellmuth is a huge draw, and anyone who watches the World Series of Poker knows that he brings his A-game to whatever he does. His continued commitment to the TASER Foundation and the families of fallen officers in the United States and Canada comes directly from his heart."

The Heroes Charity Tournament will feature two $100 buy-in tournaments as well as a $1000 buy-in event. Half of the proceeds will be donated to the TASER foundation for fallen officers, an organisation that takes care of the families of officers killed in the line of duty.
